Watermelon Soup

Watermelon Soup

This watermelon soup is perfect for warm summer nights (that have yet to materialize in Los Angeles so far this season).

Benefits of Eating Watermelon Soup

Watermelon is Hydrating

Watermelon consists of 90% water, making it a supremely hydrating fruit. Consuming watermelon soup can help replenish fluids and maintain proper hydration levels in the body.

Watermelon is Refreshing and Cooling

Watermelon soup is best served chilled. This makes it a refreshing and light summer dish during hot summer days. It helps cool down the body and provides relief from heat.

Watermelon is Nutrient-rich

Watermelon is a good source of vitamins A and C, as well as antioxidants like lycopene. These nutrients contribute to overall health and support immune function.

Watermelon Contributes to Digestive Health

Watermelon contains fiber, which supports healthy digestion and help prevent constipation. Enjoying watermelon soup as a component of a balanced summer diet can contribute to maintaining a healthy digestive system.

Watermelon Contains Antioxidant Properties

Watermelon contains the antioxidant lycopene, which is also present in tomatoes, apricots, grapes and cranberries. In addition to contributing to watermelon's vibrant red color, lycopene provides anti-inflammatory benefits as well as reducing the risk of certain chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease and cancers.
